Supplement manufacturer · white and private label

Food supplements for your brand, sealed in blisters.

HYPERPHARM manufactures food supplements for your brand. A ready-made formula starts from 100 units in stock packaging, with production from 2 weeks; your own formula starts from 500 bottles per product, with production from 4 weeks. Effervescent tablets and sachets take from 4 weeks on either route. Tablets, capsules and softgels are sealed in blisters on an Uhlmann B 1240; for tablets and capsules a blister run is its own route, from 2,000 cartons (at least 4,000 blisters), with production in 6 to 10 weeks. Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis and a specification.

Why do supplement brands choose blisters?

A blister closes each tablet or capsule in a cavity of its own, and that cavity stays sealed until its dose is pressed out. Four practical points follow from that.

  • One opening per dose. A bottle lets in room air every time the cap comes off. A blister cavity is opened once, for the dose inside it, while the rest of the strip stays closed.
  • Tampering shows. A pressed-out cavity or torn foil cannot be sealed again, so a distributor, a pharmacist or a shopper sees at a glance whether a strip is complete.
  • Doses you can count. The doses sit in rows, so the empty cavities show how many have been taken without opening anything.
  • Easy to carry. A strip is thin and light, fits a pocket or a bag, and the carton protects it in transit. Nothing rattles, and nothing spills when a dose is taken out.

Markets with heat and humidity have a page of their own: Blister packaging for hot and humid climates.

Which dose forms go into a blister?

Tablets, capsules and softgels. Tablets and capsules are made on site, and all three are sealed in blisters on the same Uhlmann B 1240 and cartoned at the same plant, in a carton printed for your brand. Delayed-release tablets and capsules can be made on request.

Blister tooling is in place for oval tablets of 22 × 10, 20 × 9.5 and 16 × 8 mm, round tablets of 13, 12 and 11 mm, and capsules in sizes 0 long (0EL), 0 and 00. A blister of your own design, or a tablet or capsule in another size, starts from 25,000 cartons or 50,000 blisters, on terms agreed per project.

The machines set the outer limits. The Uhlmann B 1240 has a forming area of up to 128 × 156.5 mm per cycle, with cavities up to 24 mm deep in PVC; cold-formed aluminium is shallower. The IMA IC 150 takes cartons from 28 × 12 × 55 to 92 × 60 × 190 mm (width × height × length).

  • Tablets. Made on site up to 25 mm; blistered in the oval and round sizes with tooling in place.
  • Capsules. Made on site up to size 000; blistered in sizes 0 long, 0 and 00.
  • Softgels. Sealed in blisters on the same Uhlmann B 1240 as tablets and capsules.

When a product suits another pack better, the plant also fills bottles, tubes, stand-up pouches and sachets: see Packing.

White label or your own formula: where do I start?

Start with white label when one of our more than 500 ready-made formulas fits your product, and with your own formula when the product needs a composition developed for your brand.

The minimum order and the production time of each route, effervescent tablets and sachets included, are in the table at the top of this page; a blister run has its own minimum and time there. Powders, syrups, oils and the other formats have minimums of their own, counted in their own units: the minimum for each format is on minimum order quantity, and the times are on lead times.

Ready-made formulas made as tablets, capsules or softgels can go into a blister as well as a bottle when the tablet or capsule fits the tooling in place, and the product itself settles which of the two suits it.

A ready-made formula is not reserved for one client, so the same product can be sold under several brand names at once. A formula of your own is developed for your brand.

What does your product decide before the pack is chosen?

Three things about the product settle most of the pack: the formula route, the size of the dose and the market it is sold in. Each choice costs something in time, in run size or in risk.

The formula route sets the start. A ready-made formula starts smaller and sooner than a formula of your own; the figures are in the table at the top of this page and on lead times. What white label costs you: the composition is not reserved for you, so another brand can sell it too. What your own formula costs you: a larger first run, a later start and a sample to approve before production.

The size of the tablet or capsule sets the cavity. Tablets are made up to 25 mm and capsules up to size 000, and blister tooling is in place for the sizes listed above, within the B 1240's limits: a forming area of up to 128 × 156.5 mm per cycle and a depth of up to 24 mm in PVC. What another size costs: a blister of your own design, or a tablet or capsule in a size without tooling, starts from 25,000 cartons or 50,000 blisters, on terms agreed per project.

The market sets the paperwork. Halal certification is arranged per product, and where the country of sale requires registration, the brand owner or its importer files it. What it costs: an extra step for each, so name the market and any certification in your enquiry.

Blister or bottle. A blister keeps each dose sealed until it is pressed out; a bottle is opened again for every dose. What a bottle costs: room air reaches the remaining doses at each opening. What a blister costs: a larger run and a longer production time, both set out in the table at the top of this page, and the layout is settled before the run: how many doses go on a blister and how many blisters, from 1 to 4, go in a carton.

How does an order run from formula to carton?

An order runs in seven steps, from your enquiry to delivery, and the product, its blister and its printed carton all come from one plant.

  1. Enquiry. You tell us the dose form, whether you start from a ready-made formula or your own, the first quantity and the country of sale. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
  2. Sample. With a ready-made formula, you receive a sample of the existing product. With your own formula, the first sample is made to the composition you want.
  3. Approval. You approve the sample, then the label and carton artwork. We lay out and print the label and the carton to the label rules of your market, which your importer confirms, and print the lidding foil with your brand. Artwork you already have can be used instead. Printing starts after your approval.
  4. Production. The batch is made to the approved sample: from 2 weeks on a ready-made formula, from 4 weeks on your own; effervescent tablets and sachets from 4 weeks on either. A blister run with a printed carton takes 6 to 10 weeks instead.
  5. Blister and carton. The Uhlmann B 1240 forms the cavities, fills them with your tablets, capsules or softgels, seals the lidding foil printed for your brand and punches out the blisters in one pass; the IMA IC 150 then packs 1 to 4 of them into each printed carton. Products in bottles, tubes, pouches or sachets are filled at the same plant instead.
  6. Documents. The batch is released with its Certificate of Analysis and specification.
  7. Delivery. Worldwide: EXW by default, FCA or DAP on request.

The 2 and 4 weeks in step 4 cover production alone: steps 1 to 3 come before them. Transport is added after.

How manufacturing works · Blister packing

Do you supply brands in Africa and the Middle East?

Yes. The main markets of the group behind HYPERPHARM are the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, and the group already supplies many clients in Africa.

Registration in the country of sale, where a country requires it, is filed by the brand owner or its importer and is not a service we provide. For that file we send the Certificate of Analysis and the specification of each batch, with copies of our certificates on request. Where the country of sale asks for documents to be legalised, legalisation is arranged as well. Halal certification is arranged for the specific product rather than for the plant as a whole.

The label and the carton are laid out to the labelling rules of the country of sale, which your importer confirms.

Country by country, with who files, the label language and the documents for each: the Middle East (the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon), North Africa, West Africa, East Africa and Africa overall.

Who is behind HYPERPHARM?

HYPERPHARM products are made by a manufacturing group with more than 25 years in production, 70+ specialists and exports to 42 countries. Those figures belong to the group and its production, not to HYPERPHARM OÜ, the company behind this site, which was registered in 2019.

Both packing machines are named on this page by model and manufacturer. You are welcome to visit the plant before you order.

About us

Which certificates and batch documents do you provide?

Production is ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certified and FDA registered as a food facility, and every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis and a specification.

The GMP is for food supplements, and the scope of the certificates covers tablets, capsules and powders. Copies of the certificates with their numbers are sent to clients on request. On request, an accredited third-party laboratory also tests the product for banned substances, and the report is made out to your brand.

Questions buyers ask

How small can a first order be?

A ready-made formula starts from 100 units in stock packaging, and your own formula from 500 bottles per product. A blister run with a carton printed for your brand starts from 2,000 cartons, at least 4,000 blisters, on either route. Powders, syrups, oils and other formats have minimums of their own, counted in their own units; the minimum for each format is on minimum order quantity.

How many weeks does production take?

From 2 weeks on a ready-made formula and from 4 weeks on your own formula; effervescent tablets and sachets take from 4 weeks on a ready-made formula or your own. That is production alone, with the approvals before it. A blister run with a printed carton takes 6 to 10 weeks. Transport to your country is added after, with EXW as the default term.

Which dose forms can go into blisters?

Tablets, capsules and softgels, sealed on an Uhlmann B 1240 and packed 1 to 4 blisters to a carton printed for your brand. Blister tooling is in place for oval tablets of 22 × 10, 20 × 9.5 and 16 × 8 mm, round tablets of 13, 12 and 11 mm, and capsules in sizes 0 long (0EL), 0 and 00; a blister of your own design or another size starts from 25,000 cartons or 50,000 blisters. Delayed-release tablets and capsules are made on request.

Which films is the blister machine built for?

The Uhlmann B 1240 is built to run PVC, PVC/PVDC, PVC/PCTFE and cold-formed aluminium. That is the range of the machine, not a list of films set up at the plant. For a product also sold in the EU, we do not present PVC/PCTFE as a ready option until the PFAS limit in Regulation (EU) 2025/40 has been settled for it.

Who designs the carton and the label?

We lay out and print the label and the carton to the label rules of your market, which your importer confirms, and print the lidding foil with your brand. Artwork you already have can be used instead. Your own packaging can be used on request.

Will I see a sample before production?

Yes. With a ready-made formula you see a sample of the existing product before you order; with your own formula the sample is made first, and production starts only once you approve it. A visit to the plant can also be arranged.

What comes with each batch?

A Certificate of Analysis and a specification. Copies of the certificates with their numbers are sent to clients on request. A banned substance test at an accredited third-party laboratory can be added, with the report made out to your brand. More on the quality page.

Who registers the product in the country of sale?

The brand owner or its importer, where the country requires registration; we do not take it on. For that file we send the Certificate of Analysis and the specification of each batch, with copies of our certificates on request.

Can the product be halal certified?

Halal certification is arranged for the specific product rather than for the plant as a whole, so name the product in your enquiry.

How does a blister differ from a bottle in humid air?

Each time a bottle is opened, the air of the room reaches every dose left inside; a blister cavity is opened once, for its own dose. How much moisture a closed cavity lets through depends on the film.

How long is the shelf life?

The standard shelf life is 24 months. On a blister product the expiry date is on the carton, printed with it or applied as the blisters are cartoned.

Where do you ship, and how fast do you reply?

Worldwide: EXW by default, FCA or DAP on request. Enquiries are answered within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
