Which ready-made formulas can go into a blister?
Twenty-nine of them are listed below, grouped as vitamins, minerals and combinations, plant extracts, and other formulas. They are a selection from more than 500 formulas in production; the full list, with compositions, is sent on request. Each can be offered in a blister with a printed carton when its size fits the tooling, and each can also go into a bottle.
The names and strengths are given as they stand on the ready-made list. Whether a given tablet, capsule or softgel fits a cavity is decided by its size, and the sample shows that size. Use the tables to shortlist formulas, then ask us for the compositions of the ones you want.

The full composition of a formula is not published on this page; it is sent when you ask for it. The product name and the artwork on your carton are set at the approval step, within the label rules of your market, which your importer confirms.
How do I choose between tablet, capsule and softgel for a blister?
Start from the size, because the blister tooling is cut to the finished tablet or capsule. Tooling is in place for six tablet sizes and three capsule sizes, and softgels are sealed on the same machine.
- Tablets: oval 22 × 10, 20 × 9.5 and 16 × 8 mm; round 13, 12 and 11 mm.
- Hard capsules: size 0 long (0EL), size 0 and size 00.
- Softgels: sealed on the same Uhlmann B 1240 as tablets and hard capsules. The tooling list names no softgel sizes, so send the size with the enquiry.
The oil formulas above (fish oil, omega 3-6-9, flaxseed oil) are softgels. For a formula that is listed in one form, the form is the one in the table; if you would like it in another form, say so in the enquiry and we answer in the reply. One blister holds one kind of tablet or capsule, so two formulas mean two blisters, which can sit in one carton (1 to 4 blisters to a carton).
Delayed-release tablets and capsules are available on request, described as a property of the form.
Can I change the strength or the formula?
Yes, but the terms may change. Tell us what you want to change in a ready-made formula, and we say in our reply whether it is treated as a ready-made formula or as one of your own.
For bottles, your own formula starts from 500 bottles per product, where a ready-made formula starts from 100 units; production is from 4 weeks for your own formula and from 2 weeks for a ready-made one. A sample of your own formula is developed before production.
For a blister run, the minimum is the same on a ready-made formula and on your own: from 2,000 cartons, at least 4,000 blisters, production in 6 to 10 weeks. A tablet or capsule outside the sizes with tooling in place, or a blister of your own design, starts from 25,000 cartons or 50,000 blisters, on terms agreed per project.
What do I get with each batch?
A Certificate of Analysis and a specification come with every batch. The standard shelf life is 24 months. The batch number and the expiry date go on the carton, printed with it or applied as the blisters are cartoned.
The site is ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certified and FDA registered. Copies of the certificates, with their numbers, are sent to clients on request. More on quality and batch documents.
How do I ask for the full composition and a sample?
Send an enquiry with the formulas you have shortlisted. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. The order then runs in seven steps:
- Enquiry: format, ready-made formula or your own, quantity, market.
- Sample: a sample of the existing product for a ready-made formula; sample development for your own.
- Approval: the sample, then the label and carton artwork, approved by you before print.
- Production: from 2 weeks for a ready-made formula in stock packaging and from 4 weeks for your own; 6 to 10 weeks for a blister run.
- Blister and carton: tablets and capsules sealed on an Uhlmann B 1240, cartoned on an IMA IC 150.
- Documents: Certificate of Analysis and specification with each batch.
- Delivery: EXW by default, FCA or DAP on request.

Can I put a ready-made formula into a blister under my own brand?
Yes. A listed tablet, capsule or softgel is sealed in a blister under lidding foil printed for your brand and packed in a printed carton, 1 to 4 blisters to a carton. The size of the product decides whether it fits the tooling in place.
What is the minimum order for a blister?
From 2,000 cartons printed for your brand, at least 4,000 blisters, on a ready-made formula or on your own. Other minimums are on minimum order quantity.
How long does production take?
A blister run takes 6 to 10 weeks of production. A ready-made formula in stock packaging takes from 2 weeks and your own formula from 4 weeks. Shipping time is added; see lead times.
Can I order the same formula in bottles instead?
Yes. In stock packaging such as bottles, a ready-made formula starts from 100 units and your own formula from 500 bottles per product. The blister is a separate order with its own minimum.
