Who makes private label collagen capsules and powder?
HYPERPHARM is a manufacturer of food supplements for other brands. For collagen it works on two routes: capsules and tablets sealed in printed blister cartons, and powder filled into printed sachets. Both start from a formula listed here or from your own specification, and both are made and documented at one plant.
The blister is the main route, and the powder sachet sits beside it for a brand that sells a measured serving in grams. The sections below put the two side by side.
Which collagen products can I put under my own brand?
Five example collagen formulas are listed: two capsules, one tablet and two powders. Your brand takes a formula as listed, or we change the amounts to your specification. Amounts are those printed per capsule, tablet or serving. Where a formula has no strength printed here, the strength is confirmed in our reply, and the full composition, with excipients, is sent on request.
| Formula | Amounts as printed | Form |
|---|---|---|
| Marine collagen peptides, vitamin C and vitamin B3 capsules | Per 1 capsule: marine (fish) collagen 400 mg; vitamin C 80 mg (100% NRV); vitamin B3 as nicotinamide 16 mg (100% NRV) | Capsule |
| Collagen capsules | Strength confirmed in our reply | Capsule |
| Glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, collagen, citrus bioflavonoids and ginger tablets | Per 1 tablet: glucosamine sulphate 2KCl 500 mg; MSM 133.3 mg; chondroitin sulfate 100 mg; collagen 100 mg; citrus bioflavonoids complex 100 mg; ginger root dry extract (20:1) 5 mg | Tablet |
| Marine collagen peptides, hydrolysed, type I and III, powder | Per serving of 10 g: collagen 10 g; protein 9 g; fat 0 g; carbohydrates 0 g; fibre 0 g; sugars 0 g | Powder, sachet |
| Bovine collagen peptides, hydrolysed, type I and III, powder | Per serving of 10 g: collagen 10 g | Powder, sachet |
The product name on your pack is set at the approval step. A collagen capsule and a vitamin C tablet can share one carton as two blisters: private label vitamin C. Related pages: private label hyaluronic acid and private label multivitamins. The wider list is on ready-made formulas.
Can collagen capsules and tablets go into blisters?
Yes. Capsules and tablets are sealed in blisters under lidding foil printed for your brand, and the blisters are packed in a printed carton, 1 to 4 to a carton. One blister holds one kind of unit. Capsules are gelatine or vegan HPMC.
A collagen unit of any size goes into a blister. If its size is outside the current tooling on the Uhlmann B 1240, a forming set is made for it, and the term and the price of that set are confirmed in our reply. More: capsules in blisters and tablets in blisters.
Which blister film suits collagen capsules?
PVC, PVC/PVDC and cold-formed aluminium (alu-alu) are offered, and the film is confirmed in our reply once we have the formula and the unit size. Moisture uptake of the formula and the depth of the cavity decide the choice.
On the Uhlmann B 1240 the cavity can be up to 24 mm deep in PVC and up to 10 mm in aluminium. PVC/PVDC adds barrier to PVC, and alu-alu is the highest-barrier class of the three. Run a sample of your own product in the film before you commit; figures and sources are on blister films.
What is the minimum order for private label collagen, and how long does it take?
A blister run starts from 2,000 cartons printed for your brand, with at least 4,000 blisters, and takes 6 to 10 weeks of production. Powder in sachets starts from 300 kg, counted by weight, with production from 4 weeks. Shipping is added to both, and approvals come before production; see lead times.
The sachet count follows from your serving. At a 10 g serving, as in the two powder examples, 300 kg is 300,000 g divided by 10 g, which is 30,000 servings before filling losses. Name your serving in the enquiry, and our reply gives the count and the fill range for the sachet. The same 300 kg applies to powders in jars or doy-packs.
A ready-made formula in stock packaging starts from 100 units, with production from 2 weeks, and your own formula starts from 500 bottles, with production from 4 weeks.
Should I choose collagen capsules in a blister or collagen powder?
Choose the blister when your product is a unit counted per day, and the powder when it is a measured serving in grams. The examples show the gap: the capsule prints 400 mg of collagen per unit, the powders print 10 g per serving. They are two different products with two different runs.
| Your choice | What changes | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Capsules or tablets in blisters | Each unit sealed in its own cavity, 1 to 4 blisters in a carton | Run: from 2,000 cartons and at least 4,000 blisters. Time: 6 to 10 weeks |
| A unit outside the current tooling | A forming set is made for it | Term and price of the set: confirmed in our reply |
| Powder in sachets | One serving closed in each sachet, printed for your brand | Run: from 300 kg. Time: from 4 weeks |
| Capsules and powder in one range | Two runs on two formats, one design for both | Run: the blister minimum plus the powder minimum. Time: the longer of the two timelines |
| Marine or bovine source | A different formula and a different label | To check: your importer confirms the allergen line; the halal route is agreed before artwork |
| A smaller first order | The same formula in stock packaging | Run: a ready-made formula from 100 units, your own from 500 bottles. Time: from 2 weeks and from 4 weeks |
Can I get collagen powder in sachets as a second format?
Yes. The powder is filled into sachets of one serving each, printed for your brand, from 300 kg and with production from 4 weeks. Both powder examples print 10 g of collagen per 10 g serving, as hydrolysed peptides of type I and III, one marine and one bovine.
Name the source and the serving in the enquiry. Our reply confirms the formula, the fill range and the batch number and date marking on the sachet. Details: powder sachets.
How do I show the collagen amount on the label?
Print the collagen in grams or milligrams per serving, capsule or tablet, and the number of servings or units to the pack. Collagen has no nutrient reference value, so no percentage is printed for it; the vitamins in a combination do carry one.
In the capsule example, vitamin C 80 mg and vitamin B3 16 mg show 100% NRV each, with the values set in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex XIII, Part A. The serving is the one your pack recommends, so a powder labelled for one sachet and a capsule labelled for one unit are two different declarations. The allergen line for a marine source is confirmed by your importer for the market of sale. You approve the artwork before print.
What is the maximum level and which rules apply in my market?
The authority of the country of sale sets the rules, and your importer confirms them before the artwork is approved. For the vitamins in a combination, EU maximum amounts are provided for in Article 5 of Directive 2002/46/EC, and until they are set, member states apply national limits.
Name the country of sale and the amounts in the enquiry, and our reply confirms them. We lay out the pack to the rules your importer gives us, or print your own artwork. Regional pages: the Middle East and Africa. Your importer files the registration in the country of sale with our documents; see export documents.
Can the collagen pack be in Arabic or French, and can it be halal?
Yes. Carton, foil and sachet are printed in Arabic, French or the language of the country of sale, and a printed leaflet goes into the carton to your artwork. Steps: Arabic and French packaging.
For halal, a certificate is arranged per batch when your market asks, either by a certification company that visits the plant or by an auditor present during the batch. Raise it in the enquiry so the route is settled before the run. More: halal supplements.
What documents come with each batch of collagen?
A Certificate of Analysis and a specification ship with each batch. The blister carton shows the batch number, production date and expiry date, and shelf life is 24 months as standard. Marking of the sachet is confirmed in our reply. Copies of the site certificates (ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP; FDA registered), with numbers, go to clients on request.
For the destination file we arrange the export documents a market asks for: Certificate of Free Sale, Certificate of Manufacture, apostille and consular legalisation. See export documents.
How do I get a sample of private label collagen?
Send an enquiry with your shortlisted formulas, the form, the quantity and the country of sale. For a ready-made formula you receive a sample of the existing product before you order, and we reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. After that come artwork approval, production, sealing or filling and cartoning, and delivery EXW by default, FCA or DAP on request.
