Can a B complex tablet go into a blister, whatever its size?
Yes. A B complex tablet goes into a blister; if its size is outside the current tooling, a forming set is made for it, with time and price confirmed in our reply. A tablet with nine actives and bulking agents is sized to its formula, and the forming set follows that size.
The current tooling on the Uhlmann B 1240 covers ovals of 22 × 10, 20 × 9.5 and 16 × 8 mm and rounds of 13, 12 and 11 mm. One blister holds one kind of tablet and a carton takes 1 to 4 blisters, so a B complex blister and a vitamin C blister can share a carton. More by form: tablets in blisters.
Which vitamin B complex tablets can I put under my own brand?
Six example formulas are listed. The first is a full B complex tablet with every dose written out; the others carry B vitamins among other ingredients. Your brand takes a formula as listed, or the doses are changed to your specification. Amounts are those printed per tablet, with %NRV rounded to whole numbers; the full composition, with excipients, is sent on request.
| Ingredient | Per 1 tablet | % NRV |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) | 1.4 mg | 127% |
| Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) | 1.6 mg | 114% |
| Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide) | 18 mg NE | 113% |
| Vitamin B5 (calcium D-pantothenate) | 6 mg | 100% |
| Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) | 2 mg | 143% |
| Vitamin B12 | 1 µg | 40% |
| Folic acid | 200 µg | 100% |
| Biotin | 150 µg | 300% |
| Para-aminobenzoic acid | 30 mg | no NRV set |
The form of B12 in this tablet is confirmed in our reply and named on the carton.
| Formula | B vitamins as printed | Form |

| B6, B9 and B12 vitamins tablets | Per 1 tablet: B6 1.5 mg (107% NRV); B9 400 µg (200% NRV); B12 1,000 µg (40,000% NRV) | Tablet |
| Vitamin B12 tablets, cyanocobalamin or methylcobalamin | Per 1 tablet: B12 1,000 µg (40,000% NRV). More: private label vitamin B12 | Tablet |
| Methylfolate and methylcobalamin tablets | Strengths confirmed in our reply | Tablet |

The product name on your carton is set at the approval step. The wider list is on ready-made formulas.
Can I change the doses or the B vitamins in a B complex tablet?
Yes. A listed formula goes to your brand as it is or with any dose changed. The enquiry names the vitamins and amounts, and a sample is developed first. Adding a vitamin, leaving out para-aminobenzoic acid, or switching the form of B12 or folate makes it a formula of your own, and our reply confirms what can be pressed.
The rights to a formula developed for you are set in the contract. Neighbouring pages: private label vitamin B12, private label multivitamins and private label vitamin C.
Which blister film suits B complex tablets?
PVC, PVC/PVDC and cold-formed aluminium (alu-alu) are offered, and the film is confirmed in our reply once the formula and the tablet size are known. Moisture uptake of the tablet and the cavity depth steer the choice.
On the Uhlmann B 1240 the cavity can be up to 24 mm deep in PVC and up to 10 mm in aluminium. PVC/PVDC adds barrier to PVC, and alu-alu is the highest-barrier class of the three. A sample of your tablet sealed in the film settles it; figures and sources are on blister films.
How do I show the B vitamin doses and %NRV on the label?
Print each vitamin per daily portion in its unit, with the percentage of the nutrient reference value beside it. The EU reference values are set in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex XIII, Part A; the percentage is the amount divided by the reference value:
| Vitamin | EU reference value (NRV) | Example: amount in the B complex tablet |
|---|---|---|
| Thiamin (B1) | 1.1 mg | 1.4 mg is 127% |
| Riboflavin (B2) | 1.4 mg | 1.6 mg is 114% |
| Niacin (B3) | 16 mg NE | 18 mg NE is 113% |
| Pantothenic acid (B5) | 6 mg | 6 mg is 100% |
| Vitamin B6 | 1.4 mg | 2 mg is 143% |
| Biotin | 50 µg | 150 µg is 300% |
| Folic acid | 200 µg | 200 µg is 100% |
| Vitamin B12 | 2.5 µg | 1 µg is 40% |
Para-aminobenzoic acid has no reference value, so it is printed in milligrams without a percentage. The portion is the one your carton recommends for a day, so a carton that says two tablets shows double the figures. You approve the artwork before print.
What is the maximum B vitamin dose I can sell in my country?
Article 5 of Directive 2002/46/EC provides for EU maximum amounts of vitamins in food supplements; until they are set, member states apply national limits, and outside the EU the market's authority sets them. Your importer confirms the limit for each vitamin before the artwork is approved, and the strengths on the carton follow it.
Name the strengths in the enquiry. Regional pages: the Middle East and Africa. Registration in the country of sale is filed by your importer with our documents; see export documents.
Can the B complex carton be printed in Arabic or French, and can it be halal?
Yes. Label and carton are printed in the language of the country of sale, with a printed leaflet in the carton to your artwork; see Arabic and French packaging.
For halal, either a certification company visits and issues the certificate, or an auditor attends the batch. The route is agreed with the enquiry, before the run. More: halal supplements.
What is the minimum order for private label vitamin B complex, and how long does it take?
A blister run starts from 2,000 cartons printed for your brand, at least 4,000 blisters, and takes 6 to 10 weeks of production, on a listed formula or your own. Shipping is added. A repeat order has the same minimum as the first.
Stock packaging such as bottles is ordered separately: a ready-made formula from 100 units, production from 2 weeks; your own formula from 500 bottles per product, production from 4 weeks. See minimum order quantity and lead times.
What documents come with each batch of B complex tablets?
Each batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis and a specification, and the carton shows batch number, production date and expiry date. Shelf life is 24 months as standard. Copies of the site certificates (ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP; FDA registered) go to clients on request.
For the destination file the export documents of the market are arranged: Certificate of Free Sale, Certificate of Manufacture, apostille and consular legalisation. See export documents.
How do I get a sample of a private label B complex tablet?
Send your shortlisted formulas, the quantity and the country of sale. For a ready-made formula a sample of the existing product reaches you before you order, and the reply comes within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. Next: artwork approval, production, sealing on the Uhlmann B 1240, cartoning on the IMA IC 150, delivery EXW by default or FCA or DAP on request. Quote and sample are prepared for your enquiry.
Blister or bottle: which suits my B complex product?
Blisters come first for B complex tablets: from 2,000 cartons and at least 4,000 blisters, in 6 to 10 weeks, each tablet in its own sealed cavity. A bottle starts smaller and sooner. Which pack holds a product longer depends on the product, as the worked case on blister films shows. What each choice costs in run size, time or risk:
| Your choice | What changes | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| The listed B complex tablet in a blister | Existing tooling takes it; a size outside it gets a forming set | Run: from 2,000 cartons and at least 4,000 blisters. Time: 6 to 10 weeks, plus the forming set time, confirmed in our reply |
| New doses or an added vitamin | A listed formula with changed doses, or your own formula | Time: a sample is developed first |
| Alu-alu instead of PVC | More barrier, a shallower cavity (10 mm against 24 mm) | Time: film confirmed in our reply |
| B complex and a second product in one carton | Two blisters share a carton of 1 to 4 | Risk: none on the pack; one blister holds one kind of tablet |
| A market with its own vitamin limits, Arabic or French carton, halal | Importer confirms the limits; artwork built to the country's rules; halal per batch | Time: artwork approved before print |
| A small first order or an earlier date | A bottle in stock packaging | Run: ready-made formula from 100 units, your own from 500 bottles. Time: from 2 weeks and from 4 weeks |
