Melatonin tablet or melatonin capsule: which goes into a blister?
Both do, in any size. Tooling in place on the Uhlmann B 1240 covers six tablet sizes and three capsule sizes: ovals of 22 × 10, 20 × 9.5 and 16 × 8 mm, rounds of 13, 12 and 11 mm, and capsules of size 0 long, 0 and 00. Capsules are gelatine or vegan HPMC.

What melatonin strengths can I get in a private label tablet?
The single tablets on the list carry 1 mg and 1.8 mg of melatonin, and the combination tablet carries 2 mg per 2 tablets. Name the strength you want in the enquiry, and the reply says whether it is a listed strength.
A listed formula goes to your brand as it is, or with the doses changed. A new strength is developed as a sample first, and the rights to a formula developed for you are set in the contract. The single tablets are listed per tablet and the combination per 2 tablets, so compare them on the same basis when you choose.
Which blister film suits melatonin tablets?
PVC, PVC/PVDC and cold-formed aluminium (alu-alu) are offered, and the film is confirmed in our reply once we have the formula and the unit size. Moisture uptake of the formula and cavity depth decide it.
On the Uhlmann B 1240 the cavity can be up to 24 mm deep in PVC and up to 10 mm in aluminium. PVC/PVDC adds barrier to PVC, and alu-alu is the highest-barrier class of the three. A sample of your own product sealed in the film settles the pairing; figures and sources are on blister films.
How do I show the melatonin dose on the label?
Print the melatonin per daily portion in milligrams, as listed on the formula. Melatonin has no EU nutrient reference value, so the carton shows the amount without a percentage. In the combination tablet only vitamin B6 carries a percentage: 12 mg per 2 tablets, shown as 857% NRV, with the reference value of 1.4 mg set in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex XIII, Part A.
The portion is the one your carton recommends for a day, so the same tablet shows a different figure on a carton that says two tablets than on one that says one. The status of melatonin is set by the authority of the country of sale, and your importer confirms it; the article on supplement or medicine in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and South Africa shows how that check runs. You approve the artwork before print.
Can the melatonin carton be printed in Arabic or French, and can it be halal?

What documents come with each batch of melatonin tablets?
Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis and a specification, and the carton carries the batch number, production date and expiry date. Shelf life is 24 months as standard. Copies of the site certificates (ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP; FDA registered), with numbers, go to clients on request.
