Can L-carnitine capsules go into a blister, whatever the capsule size?
Yes. L-carnitine goes into blisters as a hard capsule, gelatine or vegan HPMC, and as a tablet. If the capsule size is outside the current tooling, a forming set is made for it, with time and price confirmed in our reply.
The current tooling on the Uhlmann B 1240 covers capsule sizes 0 long, 0 and 00. The fill weight of your formula sets the size. For a two-capsule serving, the count per blister is agreed at artwork approval, and a carton takes 1 to 4 blisters. A tablet version is a separate formula. How do I label the L-carnitine dose?
Show the amount in milligrams per capsule, and per serving when the carton recommends more than one capsule. L-carnitine has no nutrient reference value, because Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011, Annex XIII, Part A, lists vitamins and minerals only; the declaration is the milligram figure without a percentage. The same holds for L-arginine, L-glutathione and coenzyme Q10 in the multi-ingredient capsule.
The vitamins and minerals in that capsule do carry a reference value, printed as listed: vitamin E 500%, folic acid 200%, zinc 200%, selenium 109%. The serving on your carton sets the figure, so one capsule a day and two a day print different numbers. You approve the artwork before print.
Which blister film suits L-carnitine capsules?
