Which magnesium formulas are in production?

Nine are listed here: three tablets and six capsules. They are a selection from the ready-made products list of the manufacturing group, shown with their names and strengths as they stand there. Whether you take a formula as it is or change it, a sample comes first.

Magnesium bisglycinate or citrate: what changes in size and label?

Only the numbers on the specification change, and they change the size of the tablet or capsule. Magnesium bisglycinate (also written glycinate) and magnesium citrate are both in the list, and the formula name gives the magnesium and the compound it comes from. They are not the same quantity.

  • Amount of magnesium and amount of compound. In "Magnesium (From 500mg Bisglycinate) 100mg", 500 mg is the compound and 100 mg is the magnesium. In "Magnesium 115mg (from 500mg Malate)" the same 500 mg of compound stands for 115 mg of magnesium. In the liposomal capsule, 656 mg of liposomal citrate stands for 75 mg of magnesium. In the citrate (buffered) formulas the name gives the magnesium (200 mg or 100 mg) and not the compound weight, which the full composition states.
  • Why it matters for the blister. The compound is what has to fit into the tablet or capsule, so the compound amount and the other ingredients set the finished size. The sample shows that size, and the size decides whether the blister tooling in place takes it.
  • Why it matters for the label. The artwork has to state the amounts the way your market requires, and the full composition gives you both figures to work from. Your importer confirms the rules of the country of sale, and the carton is built to them.

Compare formulas by the magnesium amount and the form named, not by the weight of the compound.

Tablet or capsule: which suits a magnesium blister?

Choose by size first. Blister tooling is cut to the finished tablet or capsule, so the question is which size the formula ends up at.

  • Tablets: tooling in place for oval 22 × 10, 20 × 9.5 and 16 × 8 mm, and round 13, 12 and 11 mm.
  • Capsules: size 0 long (0EL), size 0 and size 00.
  • A size outside these: a tablet or capsule outside the sizes with tooling, or a blister of your own design, starts from 25,000 cartons or 50,000 blisters, on terms agreed per project.

One blister holds one kind of tablet or capsule. A magnesium capsule and a magnesium and zinc tablet are two blisters, and they can share a carton (1 to 4 blisters to a carton). Delayed-release tablets and capsules are available on request, described as a property of the form. More on each form: tablets in blisters and capsules in blisters.

What does the destination market decide?

The country of sale decides the label and carton wording, the documents and any registration. Your importer confirms the rules, and we build the carton to them. Registering the product in the country of sale is the brand owner's step.

The group behind the plant has more than 25 years of production, 70+ specialists and exports to 42 countries; these are group figures, not the history of HYPERPHARM OÜ, registered in 2019. Its main markets are the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, and it already supplies many clients in Africa. The pages for those regions are Middle East and Africa.

Two pages answer the questions that come up for hot, humid destinations and for the language of the pack: blister packaging for hot and humid climates and Arabic and French packaging. Halal certification is arranged for the specific product rather than for the plant as a whole.

What documents come with each batch?

A Certificate of Analysis and a specification come with every batch. The standard shelf life is 24 months. The batch number and expiry date go on the carton, printed with it or applied as the blisters are cartoned.

The site is ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certified, audited by BM Certification, and FDA registered. The GMP is the food supplements guide, not pharmaceutical GMP. Copies of the certificates, with their numbers, go to clients on request. More on quality and batch documents.

How do I ask for a sample and the full composition?

Send us the formulas you have shortlisted and we reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. After that the order runs in seven steps:

  1. Enquiry: format, a ready-made or your own formula, quantity and market.
  2. Sample: the existing product for a ready-made formula; a developed sample for your own.
  3. Approval: you approve the sample and then the label and carton artwork, before print.
  4. Production: ready-made formula in stock packaging from 2 weeks, your own from 4 weeks; blister run 6 to 10 weeks.
  5. Blister and carton: tablets and capsules go into blisters on an Uhlmann B 1240 and into cartons on an IMA IC 150.
  6. Documents: a Certificate of Analysis and a specification for each batch.
  7. Delivery: EXW as standard, FCA or DAP on request.

Prices are not published; each enquiry gets its own quote.

What does your product decide?

The formula and its form settle the blister more than the brief does. What each case changes, and what it costs you in run size, time or risk:

Your choiceWhat changesWhat it costs you

A formula whose finished size is outside the toolingThe blister needs tooling of its ownRun: from 25,000 cartons or 50,000 blisters, on terms agreed per project

Questions buyers ask about private label magnesium

Can I put a magnesium formula into a blister under my own brand?

Yes. A listed tablet or capsule is sealed in a blister under lidding foil printed for your brand and packed in a printed carton, 1 to 4 blisters to a carton. The finished size decides whether it fits the tooling in place.

What is the minimum order for magnesium in blisters?

A blister run begins at 2,000 cartons printed for your brand and at least 4,000 blisters. This holds for a ready-made magnesium formula and for one of your own. Minimums for other formats: minimum order quantity.

How long does production take?

A blister run takes 6 to 10 weeks of production, with shipping added. The same formula in stock packaging takes from 2 weeks if it is ready-made and from 4 weeks if it is your own. See lead times.

Can I order white label magnesium in bottles with a low minimum?

Yes. A ready-made formula in stock packaging such as bottles starts from 100 units; your own formula starts from 500 bottles per product. A blister has a minimum of its own.

Which magnesium salts do you use?

The listed formulas name bisglycinate, citrate (buffered), malate, taurate, oxide and lactate. One formula combines four of them. For a salt that is not listed, ask with your enquiry and we say in our reply how it is treated.

Is magnesium glycinate the same as bisglycinate on your list?

The formula names on our list say bisglycinate. If your specification says glycinate, send it with the enquiry and we compare it with the composition of the listed formula in our reply.

Do the numbers in the formula name show magnesium or the whole compound?

Both appear. Where a name reads "Magnesium 115mg (from 500mg Malate)", 115 mg is the magnesium and 500 mg is the compound. The full composition, sent on request, gives the figures to check against your label.

Can I change the strength or add a vitamin?

Tell us what you want to change. We say in our reply whether it is treated as a ready-made formula or as one of your own, which in bottles starts from 500 bottles per product (a ready-made formula from 100 units).

What documents come with a batch?

Each batch comes with its Certificate of Analysis and specification. Site certificate copies (ISO 22000, GMP and HACCP certified; FDA registered) are available on request, numbers included.

Can the carton be in Arabic or French?

Yes. The label and carton are designed at the plant, or printed from your own artwork, to the rules of the country of sale, which your importer confirms. See Arabic and French packaging.

Can I get a sample before I order?

Yes. For a ready-made formula you receive a sample of the existing product. It shows the real size of the tablet or capsule and whether the blister tooling in place fits.
